The Critical Path Institute, a nonprofit organization that builds collaboration among scientists and scientific organizations to improve the drug development and regulatory process for medical products, was preparing to release the results of studies into 4,000 Alzheimer’s patients, the first important announcement of the Coalition Against Major Diseases. Critical Path wanted extensive coverage in the main-stream media and a major event in Washington, DC, for key stakeholders.

 Solution:

With only three weeks until the announcement, we developed messages, reached out to the media and arranged a high-profile event at the National Press Club.

 Result:

Turner’s strategy resulted in 300 news stories – worth $1.2 million in earned media — about the Critical Path initiative, including in the Associated Press, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, USA Today, Financial Times, NPR, NBC News, CNN, FDA Week, Pink Sheet and PharmaWire.
