Alan Rosenblatt, Ph.D

Alan Rosenblatt, Ph.D., is a digital and social media strategist, professor, and thought leader with over 25 years’ experience in the field. He is a partner at Turner4D, leading the digital and social media strategy practice. He is also a partner at Unfiltered.Media, a cutting-edge digital media firm and a professor at several universities teaching courses in digital and social media politics.

Alan served as Director of Digital Research for Lake Research Partners from 2016 through 2020. While there, Alan advised the Biden Presidential campaign regarding the way the campaign was being discussed on social media.

Alan taught the world’s first college course on digital/social media politics at George Mason University in 1995 and he’s been teaching variations of the course ever since.

Alan was the associate director for online advocacy at the Center for American Progress/CAP Action Fund from 2007 through 2013, where he designed, created, and managed the Center’s enterprise social media program.

Alan is a prolific writer for numerous publications including The Nation, Huffington Post, Social Media Today, and Campaigns & Elections. He has trained nearly 20,000 politicians, organizers, and activists around the world in the arts of digital strategy.

Alan has a Ph.D. in Political Science from American University, an M.A. from Boston College in Political Science, and a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Tufts University. He can be found across social media @DrDigiPol.
